Solar Photovoltaic:

An article in The Guardian in April 2010 suggested that if you had £10,000 to invest, it would be far wiser to invest in a solar PV system than putting the money into savings as the guaranteed return is risk free and far more profitable to households. You can find out more about the feed in tariffs at this useful website:

KWP = kilowatts peak.

KWH = kilowatt hours.

Savings on electricity bill due to energy used on site = Assumed 50 % @ (12.9p KWH)

Carbon benefit = reduction in emissions as a result of solar generation.

NOTE: All figures are approximate

It is possible to gain another 3p per unit generated but the cost of the additional meter is not always worthwhile.

Unlike many companies, we source several different panel types and outputs, from various reputable manufactures to enable us to design a system to suit most roofs.

This is why we also offer solar thermal tube or flat plate systems, many factors can dictate which is best for your roof.

And remember you are dealing with a company who has put their name on their work for 25 years, and are still proud to do so. Don’t risk your investment to anyone less. Unfortunately, many companies have come and gone in this industry and left people high & dry.

Extras :
As a guide, here are some potential extras to be aware of.

Scaffolding – bridging of conservatries poor access etc can increase costs but not usually by more than £200.

Electrics - old style fuse boards or no spare ways or RCD protection will mean increased costs, also location. Usually between £50-£300.

Roofs – some are harder to mount to, small concrete peg tiles, some slate types and so on, can increase cost of fitting
